GREGORY FULLMER Obituary

GREGORY FULLMER Gregory Harold Fullmer, age 80, of Circleville, Utah, returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father on August 18, 2025. He was born on December 18, 1944, in Circleville, Utah, to Harold Barlow "Shine" Fullmer and Burdean Young Fullmer. Greg grew up in Circleville, where he developed a lifelong love of family, faith, and the outdoors. He graduated from Piute High School and later attended Southern Utah State College (SUSC) in Cedar City, where he earned a bachelor's degree in education. He also proudly served in the Utah National Guard for six years. In 1972, Greg married his sweetheart, Cynthia Mitchell. Together, they raised four children: Travis, Sabrina, Ember, and Collette, in Circleville, where Greg devoted his career to teaching elementary school in the Piute County School District. For 28 years, he inspired countless young students with his patience, humor, and dedication to learning. Greg was a man of many talents and interests. He loved the outdoors and spent countless hours fishing with his father at Otter Creek Reservoir and Lake LeBaron. Summers were filled with gardening side by side with his dad, raising vegetables that became a family tradition. Hunting was one of Greg's greatest joys, and he cherished teaching his children, grandchildren, and sons-in-law the skills and respect that come with it. His stories of past hunts became family treasures, told and retold with laughter and pride. He was also an avid trapper, a skill he passed on to his son and later his son-in-law. Greg found joy in woodworking and crafting, carving arrowheads, and creating décor for his home and family. After retirement, he even turned his hobby into a small business venture with his daughters and son-in-law, where he shared his craftsmanship with others. Greg's love of sports was evident throughout his life. He coached and supported his son in basketball and baseball, later cheering on his grandchildren at countless games. A loyal fan of the Utah Jazz, he rarely missed a chance to follow his team. Family time was at the center of Greg's life. Summers meant camping trips to Bettison Flat, fishing at Lake LeBaron, and evenings riding in the back of the truck, spotting deer and elk. Later, Greg and Cynthia restored a family cabin, which became a cherished retreat where they spent many happy years together. Greg had a special love for animals, always keeping dogs by his side, and he was blessed with lifelong friendships in Circleville. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings and striving to live his life in service to others. Above all, Greg was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. His legacy of love, hard work, and faith will live on in all who knew him. Greg is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Cynthia; his children Travis (Jillynne) Fullmer of Cedar City, Sabrina (Ashley) Steck of Annabella, Ember Imlay of Hurricane, and Collette (Kraig) Teichert of Circleville; 12 grandchildren: Brielle (Rowdy), Lainey (Joseph), Cooper, Grayson, Jaylon (SeOnna), Jarica (Hunter), Jakell, Jacie, Daxton, Tayla, Lexi, and Katelyn; and four great-grandchildren: Stockton, Titan, Ryder, and soon to be born baby girl. He is also survived by his siblings Corey (Sheree) Fullmer and Staci (Craig) Millett, along with many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Burdean Fullmer. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the medical staff and caregivers who lovingly cared for Greg during the past seven months. Greg will be deeply missed, but his love, values, and stories will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. Funeral Services have been set for Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:30 am in the Circleville 2nd Ward, 195 West 200 South, Circleville, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with interment in the Circleville Town Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina, and Manti.
