LAPRELE JORDAN

LAPRELE JORDAN Highland/Manti, Utah: LaPrele Porter Jordan returned to her heavenly home on December 11, 2024. She was born on April 16, 1938 in Hatch, Utah to L. Leroy and Sarah Heaton Porter. She lived in Hatch until she graduated from Panguitch High School and attended S.L.A.V.S in Salt Lake City, majoring in Art. She met and married Jerry B. Anderson while residing in Salt Lake. They were married March 21, 1958, together they had 10 children. They later divorced. After being single for many years, LaPrele married Glenn Olsen from Richfield. He was a dear friend who helped finish raising her family, which was greatly appreciated. After nine years of marriage, Glenn passed away and she married Douglas Jordan, an old acquaintance from S.L.A.V.S. They lived in Manti. Doug passed away February 8, 2003. LaPrele's life was raising her beautiful children. She would have given her life for any one of them. She loved her Savior and his gospel above all else, and endured much for his sake. LaPrele is survived by her 10 children, Anthony Blaine (Nancy) Anderson, Melica (Lynn) Hudgens, Zanette (Daniel) Sorenson, Jerrele (Robert) Dowell, Carrie (Vince) Powell, Jerianne (Keith) Lake, Delia (Kevin) Shook, Loni (James) Costello, Denise Anderson, and Jefry Leroy (Stefanie) Anderson; brother, Norman Porter; sisters, Laura Thompson and Zelma Johnson. She is the proud grandmother of 65 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 104 great-grandchildren, 20 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great great-grandchildren. LaPrele was met by many loved ones as she passed through the veil, including her parents, two of her sisters, LaRue and Sarah Lou, and four grandchildren who preceded her in death. Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at 295 South Main Street in Manti at the church. A viewing will be prior to services from 9:30 - 10:30 am.
