NEIL BEACH Obituary

NEIL BEACH 6/10/1941 - 6/30/2025 Salina, Utah - Anthony Neil Beach, 84, returned to his heavenly home on June 30, 2025, in Richfield, Utah surrounded by family and friends. Neil was a husband, father of 5, grandfather and great grandfather to 74 ½ grandchildren and a friend to all. He was born the middle child of Clyde and Verda Peterson Beach on June 10, 1941 in Salina. He learned to work hard at an early age but also found time to romp in the hills with his two beloved brothers, Bruce and Chad, as well as with his buddies from the neighborhood. They rode bikes, hunted rabbits, built forts at the stone quarry and had rubber band gun wars. During Neil's high school years at North Sevier High School he participated in basketball, track and FFA. It was during this time that a pretty blonde headed girl named Janet Rasmussen caught his eye. They soon became a couple and spent their teenage years double dating with their lifelong friends, Kay and Clifton Taylor. Neil worked hard hauling hay and thinning beets for local farmers throughout his school years. After graduating from NSHS in 1959, he went to California to work but soon came back home to marry his sweetheart. Together Neil and Janet created a comfortable home and welcomed 5 children into their family. Neil worked hard to support his family. He was well known for his strong work ethic and "work hard" became his mantra in life and the legacy he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Neil worked his entire career in road construction, starting out as a heavy equipment operator mastering all types of equipment and soon moved up to General Superintendent. The final 20 years of Neil's career were spent working with Robinson Transport, where rubbing shoulders with Uncle Art and his cousins became the highlight of his professional life. He was well-liked and deeply respected by both co-workers and those he supervised. Neil taught himself to play the electric guitar by ear. He loved playing country music and would play and sing for his children. As soon as he started tuning up the guitar, his children would gather around and sit on the floor throwing out requests. The kid's favorite song was "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash. Neil, along with his wife Janet, loved to hunt, fish and spend time at their cabin at Acord Lake. He made friends with hundreds of people up there and helped out many with property purchasing, development and maintenance. He was the go-to guy for plat maps, boundaries, water and road maintenance and community by-laws for over 30 years. The past few years, Neil has enjoyed the companionship of his beautiful wife, family and friends and his favorite child, Teddy the dog. Neil is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Rasmussen Beach of Salina; his children: Kerry (Tami) Beach, Douglas Beach, Shauna (Greg) Robinson, all Las Vegas, NV; Susette (Craig) Blackner of Minersville; Bryan Beach of Salina; 23 grandchildren and 49.5 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren; his brother, Chad (SusAnn) Beach of Salina; brother and sisters-in-law: Brad and Kathy Rasmussen of Hurricane; Evelyn Rasmussen Shields of Centerfield, Eunice Rasmussen of Salina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Verda Peterson Beach, his brother, Bruce Clyde Beach; two great grandsons: Deegan Gene Tackett and Gibson Judd Williams: Brothers' in law: Rodney Rasmussen, Lyle Taylor and Jerold Shields; Sisters-in law: DeAnna Beach and Kathern Taylor. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and love to all those at Monument Health and Hospice for their kind and loving care and for all the visits, calls, texts and well wishes from family, friends and neighbors far and near. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services.
