I was introduced to B. Joy and Brawl in Dec. 1988. We shared many good times together. Her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor and love of life will be sadly missed. She shared with all she knew and helped make them better people. She will now be re-united with her beloved Brawl and Groucho. As much as we will miss her, remember her spirit glows brightly in all of those she touched.

I met BJoy when I worked with her at Staffing Resources in the 1990's. She was an amazing lady. She helped me obtain my Certified Personnel Consultant designation through many hours of mentoring. She made it much easier to study than it should have been due to her wonderful sense of humor. She was always cracking a joke or doing something that made everyone laugh. She was hilarious. When Staffing Resources dissolved, we lost touch. I was very sorry to hear of her passing but I am certain that there are a lot of folks on the other side that BJoy has in stitches!

Remembering a dear friend, professional peer and the "best of the best".....I was always amazed by her ability to 'read'someone and know exactly what steps should be taken to help that individual. There are so many attributes to share...it would take a lifetime to name them all. I am so thankful that BJoy is in my life and will continue to be a messenger of love. Let us celebrate her life !!!

To say that BJoy was a mentor pales in comparison to what she was to so many people that she touched. She shined from head to toe whenever she entered the room or was there. You just had to know who she was. She wasn’t a star, but you were star struck. Other than her loving husband Bob, I believed that I got part of it. I only wish I could have absorbed quarter of what she had.

We will miss you so much. SHINE BRIGHTLY!!!!!

With all my love, Brian Doty

Joy was an important part of my life as a teenager in Roanoke, VA where she taught me violin for years. I, too, played in the Youth Symphony. I remember once she invited me to her home to ride with her and her parents to a Rke Symphony Concert. Her beautiful hair, smile, and musical talent inspired me during my impressionable teenage years. God bless her husband, sister, and nephews.
