Dr. David Jr. & family,
I just found out, today, about your dad's passing. He is a wonderful man and will be greatly missed in our community! I am so glad that my daughter, Maurina, had the opportunity to talk with Doc about the dental profession from his viewpoint and inspire her to become a dental surgeon. Be comforted.
Kindest regards,

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of David Hamlar. My memory goes back to the fun running up and down the alley between our houses; when he and my brother, Delmar Taylor, for what ever reason, found fun in "rock throwing". Shooting marbles in the alley was a favorite past time.Childhood memories of fun and friendship when life was uncomplicated are the best. David made a difference in this world and we will remember his presence here. God bless you and comfort you in this time of sadness.

Dear Jocelyn, David, and Dede,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your father.

Over the years, I have been so thankful that each of you so graciously shared your precious father with me and my brother,
Brent, during our childhood years. Your father was an exemplary
role model of "Taking a Village to Raise a Child." We were both
directly touched by the unconditional love he imparted into our lives. He always took time to encourage and give many positive
directions in life. Our days were filled with extra gold nuggets of
happiness whenever he graced our presence.

When one looks at the definition of a man who could make a difference, your father truly was a real man of his time.
May the Grace of God touch your life with his presence and give
you strength in the days to come.

There is no greater appreciation than to have loved others with the heart of Christ Jesus and being full of compassion with unselfish commitment for those you serve.

This is how I view the life of Uncle Duck. An awesome man and more so, an awesome servant who loved & cared for others with his life in helping those in being the best in his accomplishments. He is a giant among men, with a soft spoken voice that continues to reflect his heart of dedication for all that he knew & touched.

I thank you Uncle Duck, for your influence reached beyond those who knew you, but to those who are & will be experiencing the benefits of all that you have accomplished within your life in serving & caring for others, including the many who will be graced from your unselfish strives in excellence & servitude for all.

To My Beloved Hamlar Family - May the Lord our God grace you with His love & peace with the passing of this beloved servant until the day when we are all reunited with our loved one in Christ Jesus.
