January 29, 1929 - October 16, 2022
Mary Jane Hallowich Dvorscak passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., and raised in Schenectady, N.Y. She married John Dvorscak in 1949 and moved to Waynesboro, Va., in 1956. They moved to Salem in the 1980's. She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her son, John Dvorscak Jr. (Brenda); daughter, Mary Ferguson (Sam), seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcella Docherty of Schenectady, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Mary Katherine Dvorscak, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Andrew's Catholic church on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 12 noon. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Diocesan Cemetery, in Roanoke.

It has been many years since I've seen her but some of nicest memories as a child were of visiting her and her family in Virginia or Myrtle Beach.I remember her as a lovely woman with a beautiful smile.
