Mrs. Miranda 'Randy' Puckett Roberts, 74, of Roanoke, Virginia, went home to her Father's House on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
She was born on December 28, 1946, to the late William and Hazel Puckett in Raleigh, North Carolina. Randy graduated from Methodist University in 1969 and was an elementary school teacher in Newport News, Virginia.
She loved Jesus and served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, Va. Randy was always in a Bible study and her favorite was Bible Study Fellowship, where she was a member and leader for many years. She was an avid Tar Heel fan and rarely missed a football or basketball game.
Randy is survived in death by her husband, Andrew; her daughters, Betsy Saunders (Ralph) and Caroline Domeika (Paul); her brothers, Bill Puckett (Donna) and Danny Puckett; and her grandchildren, Roseanna and Noah Saunders.
The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Robert D. Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, July 7, 2021, at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 318 Church Ave., Roanoke, VA 24016. We are so sorry for your loss Betsy & Caroline and know her happy, outgoing personality will be missed. Larry said she was the "epitome of a southern lady"! I can't ever recall her being anything other than very well dressed, cheerful and full of energy and laughter.
