Steven Charles Matherly passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Steven Matherly.
Surviving is his mother, Kathryn Matherly; Jennifer Matherly; stepdaughter, Lindsey Hubbard; stepson, Chadwick Sicely; and cousins, Wallis Damon Jr. and Donald Damon, both of Virginia Beach.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Basilica of St. Andrew with Father Andrew Clark officiating. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the Mass in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in the Garden of The Cross.
