Mary Edna "Edna" Boyd

Mary Edna Boyd, age 87 of Conyers, died Wednesday, November 1, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Wilmer Boyd; parents, Raymond & Loretta Franz; daughters, Mary Edna Bowles, Cheryl Andrea Boyd and her brother, Jerry Franz. Mrs. Boyd is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Ann and Stephen Skunda, Louise Charmayne and Berry Chadwick, Jeanette and Doug Gladney; grandchildren, Jessica Gladney, Alyssa Gladney, Jonathan and Crystal Jarrell, Ashley and Dtarus Wilson, Courtney Skunda, Thomas Kotrla, Christina Henderson, Timothy Donohue and Ashley Chadwick; Great-Grandchildren, Shea, Isaiah, Haley, Ella, Riley, Zack, Matthew, Jacob, Piper; brother, Raymond Fanz, and her sister, Alice Jupitz, She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boyd was an avid collector of miniature doll houses, Boyd dolls, Department 56 houses and elephants, which brought her much joy. Mary retired from Rockdale Board of Education after 36 years of service. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and an advocate for the St. Vincent De Paul.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church with MSGR. Hugh Marren officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, November 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
