Jayne Waller Obituary

1930 - 2025

Jayne A. Waller, 95, of Rome, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Bethany Gardens, with loving family members by her side.

Born on April 4, 1930, in Rockville Center, Long Island, she was the daughter of the late Alva H. and Helen E. (Kamp) Pearsall. Jayne was a graduate of Rome Free Academy with the Class of 1948. On August 21, 1948, she was married to John E. Waller, of Rome, who passed away in 2001. They were married for over 52 years and together raised a loving family.

Family and friends meant the world to Jayne, who was full of light and love and kind to everyone she met. Family members enjoyed traveling to their parents' home when they lived, for a time, in Shelburne, VT, and later, at the family homestead on Lake Delta. Jayne loved being around the water, swimming and boating with family and friends and spending time at the Lake Delta Yacht Club.

Jayne is survived by four children, Barbara and husband, Andrew Demski, of Englewood, FL, Patricia and husband, Carmen Ferlo, of Rome, David and wife, Janet Waller, of Smithfield, VA and Robert Waller, of Holly Springs, NC; sister, Candace Pearsall, of Longwood, FL; thirteen grandchildren, Laura, Megan, Joshua, Jeremy, Marc, Jennifer, Matthew, Darcy, David, Eva, Wren, Shawna and Kyle; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Mark, Andrew, Hunter, Alex, Brooke, Taylor, Carmen, Caleb, Cathy, Nate, Colin, Harper, Ewan, Riley and Madison; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, John, she was predeceased by grandchildren, Michael, Melissa and Christopher; as well as great-grandson, David; and a sister, Mary Lou Pfister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 6 p.m., at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call, at the funeral home, from 4-6 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery beside her beloved husband, John (Jack).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Jayne's name, may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter, 5015 Campuswood Dr., Suite 102, E. Syracuse, NY 13057 or at https://www.alz.org/.

So sorry to hear this. Jayne was a great girl and we had many fun times over our many years of friendship. Prayers for the family.

Had lovely memories at your home on the water. One of the kindest humans I´ve ever met, she had enough love for the whole world yet still always made you feel important. My mom Darcy always liked to share her own memories of when she was younger at your home in Vermont. I wish I could come to the service. I miss you Nana. Love you forever.
