Nydean Zbytniewski Obituary
Nydean A. Zbytniewski, 75, of Capron Road, Lee Center, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, where she had resided since May 3, 2025.
Nydean was born in Rome, on December 17, 1949, a daughter to Steve and Hazel Dean Zbytniewski. A life resident of the West Branch and Lee Center areas, she grew up on Rt. 26, West Branch, and received her education in West Leyden Central School, graduating with the Class of 1967. Thereafter, Nydean furthered her education at The Utica School of Commerce, where she earned her Associate's Degree. For many years, until retirement in 2004, Nydean was employed, as a stenographer, in the Medical Records Office at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford.
She will be fondly remembered as a cat lover and enjoyed spending time with her favorite feline friend, Lexie.
Nydean is survived by one brother, Joseph C. Zbytniewski, West Leyden; nieces, Kristie (Shane) Haley, Shelley (John) Smith; nephews, Steven (Kristin) Zbytniewski and Timothy (Samantha) Zbytniewski; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Nydean was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Claudia, in January, 2024.
Her Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1 PM, at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler St., Boonville, where calling hours will be from 11 AM until the service at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Ava Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Rome, PO Box 4572, Rome, NY 13442.
