Charles Spivey Obituary

Charles Glenn 'Charlie G' Spivey, 25 ROCKFORD - Charles Glenn "Charlie G" Spivey, 25, of Rockford departed this earthly life Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011. He was born March 22, 1985, in Rockford, the son of Annie Spivey and Glenn Scott. He was last employed as a forklift driver by Liebovich Steel for four years. Charles was a member of New Emmanuel Baptist Church. He graduated from East High School, Class of 2003. Charles leaves to cherish many loving memories, including parents, Annie and Glenn; sisters, Whitney Simpson, Alexia and Alexandria Spivey, Talayah and Aaliyah Gordon-Scott; maternal grandparents, William and Albertha Spivey; paternal grandmother, Anna Jean Scott; four nephews and one niece; a host of aunts, uncles other relatives; and special friends, including special cousins, Brian Spivey and James "Redman" Kyles and Kendrick Hopson. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Lester D. Scott Sr. Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, in New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 804 Second Ave., with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. The Rev. Earlie Neely will officiate. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State St.
