This terrible loss was felt accross the country in New York. I was classmates with Chris since 5th grade at Kishwaukee Elementary School and we graduated from Belvidere High together. While we were never more than acquaintances, the news still brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry for your loss.

Chris was a joy to be around. he brought a light into Stephanie's life and won her heart over; and won our hearts too. we were truly blessed to have had him in our lives. He was always welcome to join in our family vacation outings, and his sly smile and awkward attempts to be cool were sure to put smiles on faces. Reece looked to him as a role model, and held him on a high pedestal. Though we may not know why Chris had to leave us at such a young age, we can be assured that he is in the bosom of God's family. Maybe if you close your eyes and let your mind wander from the pain, you can feel the warmth of his sly smile shining down on us all in the light of the sun.
