CHRISTOPHER L. QUIST, 35 BELVIDERE - Christopher L. Quist, 35, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Condell Hospital, Libertyville, IL, following a sudden illness. Born December 28, 1978, in Belvidere; the son of LaVerne C. and Pamela S. (Aten) Quist. Chris was a carpenter for Heritage Construction in Elgin. On weekends he did side jobs including roofing. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, participating in demolition derbies and spending time with his friends. He is survived by his daughter, Amaya Quist; mother, Pam Quist; brother, Jarrid (Valarie) Quist; 4 nieces, Alexis, Gabriella, Angelique and Adriana Quist; 2 nephews, Baby Jarrid and Elijah Quist, all from Belvidere; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Chris was preceded in death by his father in 2005, and grandparents, Les and Ethel Aten, and Clifford and Arlene Quist. A visitation will be held from 2 to 3:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W.
