To the family and friends of Devin,
I remember being amazed watching Devin during 3rd grade basketball. My daughter Allison attended school with Devin, and we still talked about the little blond boy with the incredible basketball skills. We were just thinking of him last week when my daughter had girls 7th grade basketball camp. He touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered. I can't imagin the loss you're suffering. You'll be in our prayers.

Rememeber when my mom (Kelly Jenkins) and dad (Thomas Jenkins) took Devin and us to a River Hawks game last year? Well that was a day I will never forget! I remember him hitting every ball they pitched at him! They all looked at eachother like "wow this kids on FIRE!" Devin, As one of your best friends, I will always remember you forever. You were always very caring, always smiling and you always made everyone laugh. I still remember your mom picking me up for pre-school. You made me feel so happy. I cherish all the great memories from pre-school to 6th grade. I will never forget you! My heart aches for you. Devin was one of the reasons I loved to go shoot the basketball games! He was such a ham, and I had fun trying to catch him with my lens when he wasn't looking.

Devin Sky Buss;
He was the sweetest kid i've ever talked to. He put everyone before him. Even if it was him that needed the help. He was very athletic. I called him little Jordon because of his amazing basketball skills. He was awesome at everything he did he gave everything his all. He would do anything for his sports. I know that he is in heaven watching down over us making sure we don't cry but suck it up and be a man. He was awesome, but now hes even more popular with God, our creator, and Jesus, our savior.
I dont really know very much about him but i know he was a sweet perfect kind kid!!
I guess the lord wanted a sweet kind kid. I know your in a better place now Dev... no more suffering your free to do whatever pleases you...

Darla & Kay,
He was the most athletic person i have ever met in my whole life, he meant so much to so many people.
He put a smile on everyones face & he always made people laugh. He will be greatly remembered. He had the best potential i have ever seen. I remember going to Lake Summerset with Devin & Patrick, & playing tag in the water, that was great.
& all the times in the car we would take off our seatbelts and then when My sister & Kayla would turn around & yell at us to put them back on. That was pretty hilarious. Kay, stay strong. Devin's watching over us & we all know that he was not a selfish person, he would want us all to be happy that he's not suffering anymore. I miss the Devin i use to know and the memories i use to know, but every happy thing has an ending. <3.

I know i use to make fun of you because you liked the Bears and you teased me cuz i liked the Packers. But ill always remember the times we played tackle football and you always got me. I still think you cheat. hahaha And the times you would push me into the lockers. And I didnt push back cuz i was nice. hahaha But to Darla and Kayla and Kevin, Im srry for your loss but we'll always remember Devin as a sweet athletic young boy. ANd at passing away at age 12 is very hard.But he lived an Awesome life. ANd Devin when i come up there were gonna play somemore tackle football, and this time im gonna win. Kayla-I was so glad to see you tonight! I don't like seeing you sad, i tried my best to keep my head held high for devin, but i couldnt do it.
I just wanted to let you guys know i love you a lot, and i know Devin did too, Hes probably up in heaven right now playing football with Walter Peyton, or playing baseball with Babe Ruth or something, but dont forget, hes still in are hearts, and nothing can ever take that away from us.
Devin was the most caring, positive person i knew, and also the funniest.

For all the times we spent together and laughter. I will never forget the times we played tackle football and you always got me. Devin, I can only hope you are in a better place. You know I'll never forget the memories of you down here at the house jumping your bike. Playing basketball and football. And the time we went fishing out at 4 Lakes (the monster crappie you caught). Wherever you may be now is hopefully better than where you were in the past months. Cory, Shayne, and Dustin always had a great time playing with you in the neighborhood.

I did not Devon but Dylan Paul is my cousin and I am so sorry about Devon. I use to work with Walter Lawsons witch is a childrens home for children that are really ill. Through the love and admiration of your sweet, loving, dear friend Debbie Wagner, I was able to know you. I saw wonderful pictures of a young man who wanted to laugh, love and enjoy life. And through your strength Devin you gave so many people the fondest loving memories.
I was told so many beautiful stories of how you came to Freedom to play in the snow, and how you got Debbie to go bowling with you. She shared those photos with me. The way you got her to laugh and enjoy precious time with someone who had so liitle left, was beyond the words this world has ever known.
Your life is celebrated by everyone, those who knew you, and even some like myself who never had the fortune.
They say that when we open that door to where you are today, we will either step on solid ground, or we will be taught how to fly. You're flying young man. With the angels of our dear sweet Lord and Creator. Enjoy His world of peace, love and eternal happiness.
Although you will be truely missed by those left behind, we'll hold each other and continue to remember a little boy that was the strongest when his body was the weakest. We'll all share in your lifes stories forever.

God loves the little children but we often wonder why he takes them so soon. I am so sorry to hear about Devin, a little on I never had a chance to know. Life is to short and families need to know one another better. God bless all of Devin's family.

I did not know Devin personally. My step-daughter Savanna Mueller went to school with Devin and she spoke highly of him and his wonderful courage. How he was always up beat. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and Devin. God is very lucky to have someone like Devin with him.
