Mom, it has been over a year now that you have gone on to your resting place. I PRAY THAT YOU HAVE PEACE AND YOU KNOW THAT WE ARE OK, EVEN THOUGH WE ALL MISS YOU SO MUCH. NICOLE WENT ALL OUT FOR THANKSGIVING. I WAS SO SAD TO BE GOING HOME FOR THANKSGIVING KNOWING THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO AT LEAST KISS THOSE CHEEKS OF YOURS AND MASSAGE YOUR BODY, WHICH ALWAYS SEEMED SO STIFF TO ME THOSE LAST TIMES I SAW YOU. I MISS YOUR SMILE, YOUR LOVING AND CARING WAYS, YOUR 7-UP CAKES, SWEET POTATOES PIES!! I STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW YOU DID ALL THAT COOKING ALL BY YOURSELF!!
NICOLE DID GOOD THOUGH! YOU TAUGHT HER WELL!! SHE HAD SO MUCH FOOD THERE, I WAS JUST THANKFUL THAT WE WERE ABLE TO COME TOGETHER AS YOU WOULD HAVE WANTED US TO TO GIVE THANKS TOGETHER AS A FAMILY. GOD BLESS YOU. I MISS YOU SO MUCH AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!

a grandmothers love is something that will be instilled in her family for generations to come. i never realized how much i really loved her until now. she bought me barbies until i was twelve :) I used to tell her i was always too old for em....lord how I wish she were here to buy em for me now. To the family of Mrs. Ruby Washington. Sorry for the loss of your mother, and good-hearted woman. I remember coming to the family house and hanging out with the girls. Mrs. Washington would always come and sit by me @ church and give me some good advice, just like my own mom would. Will miss you very much.

Grandma.. i cant even begin to tell you how much i love you and miss you..im tring so hard to be strong but as the time get closer and closer it gets harder and harder, i wish i could hear your voice saying "vera, sally hoseatta louise girlll NICHOLE come here, lol" ..LORD you would call me all your girls name before you got to mine and you would just laugh afterwards.. i miss you so much. and i have so many memories and alot of wise knowledge to pass on to my kids when i have them.. until then ill be baking cake and pies like you, exactly how you taught me... i love you GRANNY!!!! My prayers are with All the Family whom I grew up with next door on Wigton Ave.
Ms Washington was a soft spoken but firm Mom To Lonnie,Vera,Larry and Sally. I mourn with you and I also celebrate the Life of Mrs. Washington.
So many memories with your mom and my mom talking and laughing with us running around in the yard. It seems like yesterday.
Thank God for her and I will always remember her with love and respect.

No one else has had a bigger heart than Ruby. My condolences to the family. When I was a teenager with family issues, Ruby helped me out and made me feel part of her family, which I never will forget. She will be in my daily prayers.

My prayers are extended to each of you as you mourn the loss of your loved one. Whenever I was at River Bluff, I would stop in for a minute to visit with her. I last visited with her about a month ago.
I thank God for her and I have many fond memories of her growing up. God bless each of you.
