Tom Dolan Obituary
Tom Dolan, 82, of Durand, IL, peacefully embraced our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, the 27th of April, 2021.
Tom was the son of Lawrence and Ellen Dolan and entered this world on Wednesday, August 3rd, 1938. He was the oldest boy of four children, he is survived by his two sisters Mary and Charlotte. He is now once again with his parents, brother Mike, and many more loved ones that have passed away before him. He met and married Geraldine Dolan in the beautiful country of Ireland and was blessed with three sons.
Tom had a love for God and country and he served honorably during the Korean conflict when our country called for his service. His love and passion of farming has not only been extended along to his three sons but also to his nine amazing grandchildren.
Hardworking, dedicated, and loyal are three attributes that could mildly describe him. He was an extremely compassionate man that probably lived more for others than himself. He will be greatly missed by some but the man will be irreplaceable to his three sons, Ben, Brendan, and Dermot. He was our role model, mentor, hero and most importantly, our dad! We will always love you dad and your love will always be with us!
Prayers will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home - Durand Chapel, 101 W. Main St. Durand, IL at 10:00 a.m., Monday May 3, 2021with a Funeral Mass of the Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m., in St. Mary Catholic Church, 606 West Main St., Durand, IL. Burial to be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Durand, IL. A visitation, following COVID 19 guidelines of social distancing and wearing of masks, will be held on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Our daughter married one of Tom's sons ,Dermot. We were blessed to get to know Tom & be part of this family! Everyone loved Tom. He was one of the nicest men you'd every want to meet. Our hearts & prayers go out to the whole family. May he go into God's arms & rest in eternal peace.
