Juan and I worked closely together for many years, both during his tenure as my Courtroom Clerk at the Metro Court, and after I retired, when he served the papers whenever I had to file a lawsuit. He always "got his man", but even so he was a steadfast Christian and a loyal friend. He was always proud of me when I took pity on some wretch in Court whose life had got all hopelessly tangled up in the legal system and I tried to straighten out the threads for them, so to speak. I will miss Juan greatly, but I know he has moved on to a better place. Rest in Peace my Friend.

I had several chats with Mr. Montoya last year as I was renovating my house next door to him. He spoke of his grandchildren often and very fondly. I think that he thought I was a real pest because every time I'd see him coming or going, I'd yell across the yard, "Hi Mr Montoya". I will miss seeing him! Condolences to his family and friends.

Juan touched my heart from the first time I met him at Metro Court. I only knew him for a couple years, but that was long enough for me to know what kind of man he was. I will miss his great smile and positive outlook on life.
My condolences to his family.

Juan you are so missed already. Who is going to yell at us & set us straight? I remember all the boxing matches you shared here at our home with your brother William. I remember looking at you as you had dinner. You enjoyed every bite. We didn't get very many compliments from you Juan but when we did They were real & from the ❤. Those are the ones that mattered. I also remember you always sharing with us about your kids & your Grand kids.. your eyes lit up when you talked about all of them. Thank you to Judy for all you did for Juan & his daughters Christie & Cathy. May you R.IP. Juan and thank you for making us laugh & even for getting us bugged. I think we are all good at that. Miss you & we Love you Brother & Brother in law. Like you used to say, Weno bye.. God Bless

I always appreciated Juan's honesty and upbeat personality. He endured the tragic loss of Karen and Adam and remained true to his Christian faith. He should be best remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to the community, and his service to the country.

To Juan's Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew Juan from Metro Court and he was always so much fun to interact with. He always had that little mischievous smile and twinkle in his eye. He held his own in a place full of Women! And given the women there, that was not an easy thing to do. Juan was always a gentleman and did a great job for the Court. My deepest sympathy to you all. May God comfort you at this very sad time. Sandra Sedillo
