I was privileged to be able to work with Elaine for several years at Central United Methodist Church in Sacramento. I was the Finance Committee chair, and she was the treasurer who did most of the work. Her dedication to getting it right and working with accounting software which, to this day, confounds me was truly inspirational. Each time when I was asked to serve another year, I would always respond, Yes, if Elaine agrees to be treasurer! I would then be told that she had a similar response.
I also admired her dedication to her son Jim as he struggled with a host of issues both mental and physical. It must have been truly hard for her but she always maintained a positive outlook.
I have dearly missed her since she moved to Nevada but was certain that she would bring her gifts and graces wherever she went.

Elaine will be remembered by me for her very vocal love of Giants baseball, for her lovely and varied Santa Claus collection that she displayed every December, for her love of all beautiful things and her never ending curiosity.
She served on the Board of Directors of her HOA for 9 years, from August 2005 until January 2014. Her years of participation were highlighted by an age of stability of the Association's finances, by superior preservation and maintenance of the common areas and the individual units. I was grateful all of those nine years for her steady influence on the board.

We send our condolences to the family. We were grateful to have sone Jim baptised in our group at Central UMC 33 years ago and have Elaine serve as our church Treasurer for many years. We loved going to lunch on Sundays following church service.
