Esther GRAFFIN Obituary



GRAFFIN, Esther R.
Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2010. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on June 9, 1924. She moved to California in the 1960's, and lived in San Francisco then relocated to Sacramento where she met her loving partner and husband of 38 years, Dr. Jack Graffin who preceded her in death. She is survived by numerous loving family and friends including her nephew William Rupp Jr., his wife Deborah and their children, nephew Robert Rupp, niece Becki Roberts and her husband Gary and their son, her very dear friends Mrs. Shirley Haugen, Dr. Jim Hepler and his wife Phyllis and Cecil Gordy and his family. Esther sold real estate for Lyon and Associates Real Estate for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and was a member of the Kaiser Doctor's Wives Bridge Group as well as other bridge groups. She was a patron of the arts, a member of the Crocker Art Museum and KVIE and gave generously to many charities in the Sacramento area including Loaves and Fishes and The Salvation Army. At her request there will be no service. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the charity of your choice.
