WHITWORTH, Rev. Dr.
Eugene E.
Rev. Dr. Eugene E. Whitworth made his transition Dec. 27th at the age of 93. Born in Camp, Arkansas and raised in Texas/Oklahoma, in 1920's he relocated to S.F. Graduate from Berkeley, Stanford, and Lincoln Univ. Before and after W.W.II, PR man with P.G.&E. He was a Marine Corps veteran, Pacific Theater. In conjunction with professional career he was a writer, producer, and performer of radio & theater dramas and musicals. He has ten published books, most well known "Nine Faces of Christ". According to Dr., his greatest accomplishment was being fortunate to find his wonderful wife, Ruth, and learning many lessons throughout their 60 year marriage, and then being trusted with the divine wisdom to help found Great Western University/Brotherhood. His greatest legacy is his lifelong work in the field of religion and metaphysics. He lectured and counseled worldwide, spreading the significance of the universality of religious thought to help bring about world peace. He is survived by his loving wife Rev. Ruth E., his brother Perry's sons, John and David, Margaret's children Victoria Bennett, Beth Wolford, Alex Apoeaco, and countless nieces and nephews throughout the US and the world. A memorial service will be held Sat., Jan. 22, 2:00 p.m. at the Golden Gate Spiritualist Church of S.F., 1901 Franklin St. at Clay St. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to GWB Scholarship Fund, 545 Sutter Street, Ste. 405, San Francisco, CA 94102-1148.

Gene has been gone since late 2004, but his memory lives on, along with his works. Always missed. His life was a blessing to me and to many others.
