Frank Graham Obituary

Frank Graham's 90-year earthly journey was completed on December 16, 2015. Born in Okanogan, Washington in 1925 to Catherine and Francis Graham, he lived a life of love for his family, loyalty to his many friends and service to his country. Frank enlisted in the army at the tender age of 17, serving along with his brother and father in WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his participation in the European Theatre of Operations (France and Germany) under combat conditions. Frank took advantage of the GI Bill, earning a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the University of Washington and later a Masters Degree in Business from San Jose State University. He spent most of his work life in the aerospace industry with Lockheed Martin working with the Navy on the Polaris and Trident programs. The Hubble Space Telescope was Frank's last major program contribution before retirement in the mid 90's. He worked hard, yes, but also played hard, enjoying dancing, roller skating, hiking, golfing, skiing and duplicate bridge. Frank and Sally lived the last 20 years in Sun City Roseville where he continued to pursue his many interests. His 56-year marriage to Sally Fairborn Graham produced five daughters who were the light of his life. He was equally proud of their husbands. They are Sherrie and Greg Peterson from Truckee, CA; Carla and Ed Lahr from Truckee, CA; Maureen and Marc Gsand from Danville, CA; Ann and Andy Free from Charleston, SC; Lori and Bela Palfalvi from Los Gatos, CA. Eleven grandchildren are the icing on the cake of a life well-lived. Thank you, Frank, for your wise counsel, sage advice and role model extraordinaire to all. Frank will be honored with a military ceremony at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California. Frank was a blessed man to have had six beautiful women in his family to love and care for him...and he loved and cared for them in return. The addition of sons-in-law and grandchildren into the family brought much joy to Frank. His was a life well lived.
