I met Jim through the Catholic Alumni Club of Sacramento. He became our religious director. He asked me to pray for him and his prayers were answered when he met and married Cathy. I attended their wedding at St. Francis. Jim and I got to know each other better as we stood out on the streets of Sacramento doing sidewalk counseling in front of abortion clinics. Once time, we were pelted with eggs by a passerby who didn't like our witness. My condolences to Cathy and the family. All of us now have a faithful intercessor in the heavenlies where there is no pain and much joy forevermore. Jim was very generous with his time, talent and treasure. May the angels lead him into Paradise. May God reward him for his faithful service to the Lord. I will miss you, Jim.

Cathy, my heartfelt condolences to you. I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. My prayer for you is that Jim's in Glory with the Lord. I pray that you have peace and comfort knowing that your husband was a good man. I'll be praying for you as time goes on. May our fathers heavenly touch carry you through this difficult time as you mourn this great loss. Remembering Jim...I chuckle as I remember a few stories that you shared with me about humorous times you had with him. May he rest in peace and may The Lord Comfort your heart.

Jim could tell the best stories. He would talk about some of his life experiences with such humor that I would lose my breath laughing with him and would miss part of story. I loved how Jim always stayed positive no matter what the obstacle was. He was forgiving and never judging. He believed in the importance of life for all. He would stand on the sidewalk with his biblical signs and listen with a gentle ear and hand out bibles to women who were expecting children. Some women came back to show Jim their precious child and told Jim that he was the reason that they had changed their mind. I think that is my most proud memory. Because Jim lived sharing his beliefs and faith with others, there are many children now alive and many souls now are saved through Jesus. I miss you cousin. Your laughter always, remains in my heart.
