Marion Mitchell Obituary

Marion Mitchell, a 63-year resident of Sacramento, passed away, at the age of 98, on June 16, 2016. He leaves behind his son, Donald, and daughter, Emily, as well as two brothers, John and Roy. Marion is survived by family, friends and a host of nephews and nieces. He was married for 60 years to his wife, Emelia, who preceded him in death seven years ago. He was a WWII Army Veteran, who was recently featured with his two brothers in the Sacramento Bee for Memorial Day, and interviewed with Fox News for D Day. He retired from Aerojet as a Maintenance Mechanic after 50 some years. He will be sorely missed by all! A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 5-7p.m. with a Rosary at 7p.m. at Lind Bros. Funeral Home, 4221 Manzanita Ave., Carmichael, CA 95608. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 with a Catholic Mass at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 5751 Locust Ave., Carmichael, CA 95608. Grave site services will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 7101 Verner Ave., Sacramento, CA 95841.
