Michael Bazzaroni Obituary

Michael Bazzaroni
March 13, 1948 - July 10, 2023
Penryn, California - On Monday, July 10, 2023, Michael Paul Bazzaroni, loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend, passed away at home at the age of 75. Mike was born on March 13, 1948 in Sacramento, CA to Bernard and Genevieve Bazzaroni.
Mike grew up in Carmichael at the end of Arden Way, at a time when Fair Oaks Boulevard was a two lane road. Some of his fondest memories include fishing in the American River and getting into mischief with his friends and cousins in the walnut orchards so prevalent in the area. In his younger days, Mike was most proud of his years playing football for El Camino High School under coach Jim Damino, and his time spent as a volunteer for the Carmichael Fire Department, where his dad was Deputy Chief.
Mike graduated from University of the Pacific with a doctorate in Pharmacy in 1972. He began his 46 year career with Sutter Hospitals at Sutter Memorial on the night shift. He then spent the majority of his career at Sutter General. In 2000, he made his way up the hill to Sutter Auburn Faith. While at Auburn Faith, he was very proud to have had a key role in establishing the infusion center.
Mike was beloved to friends and colleagues alike. His friends, family and those he worked with over the years could all share many stories about Mike and his charming personality, jovial spirit, and being in the right place at the right time for those who needed him. Everyone has a story about Mike Bazzaroni. Not only was Mike a celebrated pharmacist in his community, he was also passionate about his family, being in the outdoors boating, camping and fishing, spending time oceanside in Jenner and at beloved spots in Maui and Kauai, as well as working on projects in his barn shop.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Genevieve, sisters, Susan and Nancy, and son, Jason. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, his two daughters, Christina and Kimberly, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
We are looking forward to a gathering of his friends, family and colleagues, to come together in celebration of life and share stories about Mike. Save the date for a Celebration of Life, that will be held on September 17th, 2023 at The Blue Goose in Loomis, CA, from 12pm to 5pm. Light refreshments will be served.

I was so very sad to hear Mike had passed. My sincere condolences to his family. We were classmates & friends from 7th grade through high school graduation. He was a very special person, a super kind fellow, and I can't remember anyone not thinking the same of him. He was a star athelete on so many of our school teams. He smiled most of the time. Such a good man.
Rest peacefully, Mike. You'll never be forgotten.

Dear Mike......I am in shock, to say the least to hear of your passing. It was nice running into you on occasion over the years......you were a great football player on our eagle teams.....you were one of the best guards along with Rick Yenovkian, and one of the greatest linebackers in our era......even one of the best in the entire sacramento area. .....and even a better teammate......always positive, never giving less than 100% at all times.....and that obviously transferred directly into your life's work and family......a life well lived my friend......you are gone from this world, but remembered by so many.
