December 27, 1943 - June 15, 2025

Davis, California - Dr. Robert Steven Caulk passed away on June 15, 2025, in Davis, California, at the age of 81.

Born on December 27, 1943, Robert pursued a lifelong commitment to education and public service. He graduated from Palo Alto High School before earning a master's degree from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. from Brandeis University. His distinguished career as a health and human services administrator spanned across California, Oregon, and Maryland, where he made lasting contributions to the well-being of countless individuals and communities.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Bette; his children, Steven and Laura; his sisters, Wendy, Suzy, and Nancy; and six cherished grandchildren.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert was an avid enthusiast of music and sports. He maintained an extensive vinyl record collection and enjoyed playing the guitar. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the United States by air, land, and seaflying planes, sailing waters, biking trails, and motorcycling across the country.

Robert's legacy lives on in the lives he touched through both his work and his passions. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
