Anna Ratledge Obituary

Mrs. Anna Hemric Ratledge, 78, of Ratledge Road, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at SECU Hospice CareCenter of Yadkin. She was born Oct. 28, 1939, in Surry County to the late Reece and Bonnie Lee Snyder Hemric. Mrs. Ratledge enjoyed painting and especially spending time with her grandkids. She had a heart of gold and always wanted to make sure everybody else was taken care of. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Bell. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Earl L. Ratledge of the home; three children, Greg Ratledge (Linda) of Charlotte, Dana Ratledge Cole (Frank) of Pfafftown and Sherri Ratledge Garrard (Tony) of Milton; five grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Jonathan, Logan and Madison; six great-grandchildren, Dallas, Maisie, Scarlett, Desmond, J. B. and Ayden; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bonnie and Lana. Service: A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery with Mr. Bobby Grigsby officiating. Memorials: The family request that memorials be considered for SECU Hospice CareCenter of Yadkin, 243 N. Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Eaton Funeral Service is assisting the family.
