Michael Lindsay Obituary
Michael accepted Christ at an early age at Sandy Ridge A.M.E. Zion Church in Landis, North Carolina where he was still a member. His faith in God remained strong.
Michael was a boy scout with the Sandy Ridge A.M.E. Zion troop where he earned his eagle scout. He graduated from Salisbury High School in 1997 and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He was employed at Daimler Truck in the custom truck service. He enjoyed his work and his work family. Michael was a diehard Panthers fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and traveling with his mom and sister. He was the family's gentle giant.
Michael lent his quiet yet powerful leadership to the young men in the family through counsel, advice and just plain straight talk. He had an inquisitive mind and was always great with his hands in fixing or creating things. Great conversation he would provide which could include his infectious hearty laugh. He made his family proud and will be truly missed by us all (family, friends and co-workers).
Michael leaves to mourn his death his mother Rosalind Lindsay of Salisbury, NC, and his father Ivy Lindsay of Staten Island, NY; his sister Tephia Lindsay, Raleigh, NC and brother Justin McGhie (Nyameame) of Staten Island, NY; one aunt Catherine Rivens, Salisbury, NC; two nieces, Semia McGhie and one nephew, Kobe McGhie all of Staten Island, NY; cousins: Michelle Artis (Ricky) of Staten Island, NY, Felicia Archie (Harvey), Katherine Rivens Childers (Lonnie) Salisbury, NC. He also leaves a special cousin Corey Artis (Staten Island, NY); friends Bryan Solomon of Salisbury, NC and Alexis Glenn, Norfolk, VA. He also leaves to celebrate his homegoing a host of other family and friends.
Arrangements: Public Walk Thru Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 4:00pm- 6:00pm at the funeral home. Services will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Sandy Ridge A.M.E. Zion Church, Landis with Visitation at 12:00 Noon and Funeral at 1:00 PM. Interment following service in Sandy Ridge A.M.E Zion Church Cemetery. Reverend Patrick Tate, Pastor, Officiating/Eulogist.

I was shocked when I heard the news. I will always remember the years we shared working together at EI in Kannapolis. We had a lot of good times and some rough times but we always work through them. I will never forget the times we told you that it was your turn to make the coffee on our breaks. My prayers go out to the family and all the friends. Fly high my friend.
