Peter Leone Obituary

Peter James (Pete) Leone, age 92, of Salisbury passed away at The Citadel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Pete was born September 15, 1928 in Boston Massachusetts the son of the late John B. Leone and Constanta Direnzo. He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy serving in World War II. Pete attended Franklin Baptist church. His wife Ann and Pete were owners of Volante Motel until retirement in 1985. Preceding him in death was his wife Ann Whitley Leone who he married May 1, 1976 and died October 3, 2019. Graveside service 10 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Joe Thomas Pastor of Franklin Baptist Church with Military Honors by the US Navy and the Rowan County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Franklin Baptist Church, 3810 US Hwy 601, Salisbury, NC 28144. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Leone family. Pete was such a sweet man and a good friend to us at Maranatha Bible Church while we were there all together. One day we will all be together again Forever with our LORD Jesus Christ! Praising our Wonderful Savior for His saving us for all eternity...I know he and my Peter are having a good reunion in heaven today! <3 <3 <3
