Dr. Robert Lydick Chillcott Jr.

1942 - 2021

Dr. Robert Lydick Chillcott, Jr., 79, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Born September 24, 1942 in Rowan County, NC he was the son of the late Dr. Robert Lydick Chillcott, Sr. and Ruby Jewell Saunders Chillcott. He was a 1960 graduate of Boyden High School and attended Junior College and College of Chiropractic where he graduated in 1967. He returned to Salisbury and practiced Chiropractic for 10 years. He worked for A&E as a supervisor and then retired as shipping manager. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sidney Chillcott and sister, Valerie Chillcott Myers. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Sally Gobble Chillcott; son, Robert “Todd” Chillcott of Salisbury; daughter, Melissa Jayne Chillcott of Salisbury; sister, Sylvia P. Chillcott of Spencer; and nephew, Ashley Myers (Larissa). A private graveside service will be conducted at Rowan Memorial Park with Rev. Lee Robinson officiating.
