Thomas Linebarrier Obituary

Thomas Edward Linebarrier, 68, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, Aug. 25, 2018, at his home. Born Nov. 13, 1949, in Iredell County, he was the son of the late William Russell Linebarrier and Addie Belle Overcash Linebarrier. Thomas was a 1968 graduate of South Rowan High and continued his education at Rowan Technical College, studying electrical engineering. Mr. Linebarrier had retired from Tubular Textiles after 30 years of loyal service. Mr. Linebarrier was a devoted father to his son, Gary Linebarrier and wife, Dawn, of Mooresville; a proud grandfather of Noah, Lydia and JoyAnna Linebarrier; his sister, Linda Long; and his nephew, Tim Long. Mr. Linebarrier will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 10-11 a.m., at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember ad celebrate the life of Mr. Linebarrier will begin at 11 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Landon Horton, pastor of Neighborhood Church in Huntersville. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in China Grove. On-line condolences may be made at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Linebarrier family.

My condolences to the family. I worked with Tom at Cannon Mills. He was a super nice person to be around. Very intelligent. Miss him.
