Clifford Rayl Obituary

12/21/1923 ~ 03/02/2017
Draper, UT-Cliff was born December 21, 1923, in Highland Park Michigan, to El Nathan and Theresa Thompson Rayl. He grew up in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and attended Fordson High School. He joined the Army and served in the Philippines during WWII. Clifford married Marjorie Barnett in 1946 and last November they celebrated 70 years together. Cliff worked as a nurse for Wayne County General (Eloise) Hospital in Michigan and later moved into plant security at Fisher Body from where he retired. His favorite hobby was reading and he was seldom without a book in hand. He was also a member of the V.F.W. and Elks Club.
In 2003 Cliff and Marj moved to Sandy, Utah to be closer to their grandchildren.
Cliff is survived by his wife Marjorie, daughter Laurie Bengoechea, son-in-law Adam Bengoechea, grandchildren Maiah and Mitchell Ray Bengoechea and sister Ada Hilton (Emmanuel).
Our family would like to thank the caregivers at Sunrise Senior Living in Sandy and Millcreek Home Health and Hospice for their wonderful care and assistance.
A celebration of Cliff's life will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East, 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
Interment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland, Michigan
