Daniel Lujan Obituary

Daniel W. Lujan

1952 - 2024

West Jordan, UT-Daniel W. Lujan, Born November 21, 1952, to Daniel J and Carmen M Lujan. Passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2024. He was born in Taos, New Mexico and moved to Utah in 1953. Danny was married to the love of his life Shelley. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and friends. Danny was a lifelong steel fabricator and Union Ironworker (Local #27). In 1996, he co-founded with his two brothers John & Randy their own company L&L Erection & Fabrication. Together, they built a successful company at a level that is something to be very proud of. Everywhere you look in this valley and beyond is riddled with projects that their company did the steel work on. His brothers will miss him deeply as business partners and Best Friends. You will be sorely missed, Rest in Peace my brother. Love you always. The family would like to thank care givers with Inspiration Home Health and Hospice. Survived by his (wife) Shelley, Daughters, Wendy (Gary), Julie (Oscar), and Stepdaughters, Tiffany, Tara, and Tracie, Brothers, John (Tracy), Randy (Stacie), and Sister Kathy. (10) Grandkids and (3) Great grandkids. Preceded in death by his parents Dan and Carmen, Brother-in-law Larry Peck, and former wife Patty. Services TBD.

Danny and I first met in 2004, shortly after I became the owner of Club DJ's. After work one evening, Danny invited me to join them at their table to have a drink. From that point on, our friendship continued to grow. In conversation I heard so much about his work and especially his family in which he had so much pride. I also heard great things about a girl named Shelly who he was so much in love with. I eventually met Shelly and found she was exactly as he described and I was honored to attend their wedding. Danny and I became very close. There are two words best to describe him- Friend and Genuine. He will be missed!

My name is Murray S. Moffat. When I got word of Danny's passing, I immediately went into a state of total disbelief. Not Danny I kept telling myself, but it didn't help. Danny and I first met in 2004, shortly after I became the owner of Club DJ's. After work one evening, Danny invited me to join them at their table and have a drink. From that point on, our friendship continued to grow. In conversation I heard so much about his work and especially his family in which he had so much pride. I also was hearing about a girl named Shelly who he was totally smittened by and so much in love. I eventually met Shelly and found her to be just as he described. I was so honored to attend their wedding in Oatman, Nevada. Dany and I became very close. There are two words I would use to best describe him. Friend and Genuine. He will be missed!

I'll never forget that laugh. You could hear it on the job over the noise. We sure put down some miles. What a long strange trip it was. No matter what, we'll always have Wendover! I hope that in heaven there's a Jack Martinez Dart board. I'll know where to find Louie!

Wendy, Julie & Aunt Shelly,

We are heartbroken Uncle Danny joined my Dad along with Grandma and Grandpa Lujan, but Heaven got good one! He was a great guy and the life of every party! I can hear his one of a kind voice right now, "Geez Little Lar. When are those damn kids gonna stop growing?" Then he´d smile and laugh. That laugh!!! If you were around Uncle Danny you damn sure were laughing.

Take solace in the fact that He is now free of the physical burden that plagued him the last little while. We will continue to pray for y´all! Love and miss you-
