Rigby, Idaho—Dennis Harvey Blackett , age 76 of Rigby Idaho, passed away at his home of natural causes, Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Dennis was born May 31, 1944 a son of Harvey & Dorothy Blackett.
He married the love of his life, Bari Lynne Reeder October 13 1960. They have been inseparable for 60 years.
He enjoyed polishing his vehicles, especially his "Vette" He loved to take Ms. Bari places and then brag about how fast he got there.
He worked throughout his life in the trucking industry, driving, then later managing and motivating drivers. Receiving many awards.
He is survived by his wife Bari L Blackett of Rigby, Son Edward Blackett (Donna) Daughter Vickie Trane (Tracy) and four grandchildren. Eric (Jessica) Blackett Kyle (Melissa) Blackett Lauren (Jeffrey) McCray and Dillon Trane.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Shirlee Rae Smith.
We're sure going to miss EWE!

Vickie, I think I went to Elementary School with you. (Kindergarten and first grade) I'm sorry for your loss. My mom passed away a couple of years ago. And I recently lost my dad. I know it's not easy. Thoughts and prayers go to you and your family.

That darn guy. If he had held out a little longer he would be celebrating his 77th. birthday. We always think there may be another loop around the sun for us...when there isn't...we're sad and hold onto the memories, cherish the relationship and send loving thoughts to Bari and family

I'm sorry to hear of Dennis's passing. I have so many memories of him from living next door. BIG slobbering dogs, him honking at the gate to be let in and whistling for the Eddy and Vickie to come home for dinner are just a few. He always had the look on his face like he was up to something. I pray your happy memories will fill your hearts with peace and comfort. May angels surround you all in your time of grief. God bless

Denny was a crazy unpredictable guy, you never knew what he was going to do next! We spent many years together but I think Snowmobiling was really the highlight and the Hot Tub after.
He will be missed by many!
