Aunt Peggy and Family, Margie and I were very sorry to hear of Jay's passing. I am sorry we were not able to attend his services, Ironicaly we were in Teton National Park with work. He was always "Uncle Jay" from way back in the Hansen Homes days. Please know we are thinking of you all.

Peggy,
Sorry I was not able to attend Jay's service. I am disabled sight and hearing so I'm having my daughter in law type this note to you. Jays death created a lot of memories. I hope Ruthie, Shirley, and Wes Eatchel were able to attend Jay's services.I am now living in St. George. My daughter and son are taking good care of me.
Love, Flo

It is odd to read an obituary and find family, but that is what just happened here. My great grandfather and Angeline Welkers father were brothers from Jacob Stoker and Harriett Angeline Welker. I lived within a few miles of your parents for many years in Sandy. It is said we miss these oppurtunities until someone passes. My mother who was 2 years older than your Dad would have been elated to find family, but she passed in 2012. I now live in St George since I lost my husband in 2014. My email address is [email protected]. So sorry about your fathers passing, but know he is much happier where he is.

My Prayers and Thoughts are with your family at this time. Jay became a Scout Master the same year I joined his Troop. I will never forgot the things I learned from him and I will always remember the fun times we had. He was an incredible leader and a great example to all those boys who he influenced. One of the exciting things we did every year was to build the Lodge pole towers in his back yard. A great man who will be missed by many.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing away of Jay. He was a great man, and was a great influence in my life in my early days of scouting. He helped me obtain my Eagle Scout. I will always remember the countless hours and interest that he had in each of the scouts in his troop. I remember many scouting camp outs with him and the other leaders.
I'm really sorry that I will not be able to attend as I will be out of town.
My thoughts will be with Peggy and his children during this time of loss.

Jay and Peggy introduced me to the wonders of the Grand Tetons when we went camping there in 1984. I haven't missed a year then ever since. Jay was a wonderful example to me. I loved him very much.
