Jedlicka Jay Obituary

Jedlicka, Jay 5/29/75 ~ 3/27/06 Jay Jedlicka grew up in the Cleveland, Ohio area. At age 20 he moved to Salt Lake City Utah to pursue his love of snowboarding. Paying his way delivering pizzas, Jay soon got a job building computers for a small computer firm. His love for computers and tireless dedication eventually found him employment with Linux Networks building some of the worlds fastest computer clusters used today. In Salt Lake Jay made many friends and discovered a love for the outdoors. Jay enjoyed fly-fishing, hiking, mountain biking, camping, and snowboarding. Jay also had a great love for music and started his own record label to promote artists he enjoyed. Jay made friends around the world within his music community. Jay was a man of tireless ambition, dedication, and integrity. He threw himself completely into whatever he did and was always there to help a friend. He was devoted to his wife Amanda and her son Preston, and loved them deeply. Jay was a loving son who faithfully kept in touch with his family in Ohio. His mother and father Ronald and Judy Jedlicka and his sister and brother-in -law Heather and Omar Adrais and their son Carter will greatly miss him. Jay also had great affection for his yellow Labrador Vibrant who was his companion on many adventures. Jay will be much missed. Memorial services will be held at the Main City Library 400 S. 210 E. lower level Friday morning Mar. 31st from 10-12:30. Friends and family are welcome to come and share in his memory.

What to say? Jay is still constantly in my mind. He was my best friend, loyal to a fault. We were there together for each of our weddings. We purchased houses together, raised our dogs together, he lived with us nearly every weekend through his divorce. We were supposed to grow old together. He will be there with me in my mind with every milestone in life. At some point you think your heart will stop hurting, but I guess when you love someone so much.

To the Jedlicka Family:

You are in my heart and prayers. Jay was my best friend growing up and I will cherish the many great times we spent together - especially the Myrtle Beach vacations, the long days skateboarding, and just being wacky kids. Jay was the best friend a guy could have and he will be greatly missed. I considered you all my second family and I regret that we've lost touch over the years. You have my deepest condolenses.

Jason was the very special someone who grew up with my two boys, RJ and Eric. He was a wonderful friend to them both growing up. We all remember Salt Fork and what fun we all had! All three of the boys were so much fun. That is what we will always remember about Jason: his love of life, his knack of making even life's most mundane things fun and his love of his family. We will always remember him and will always miss him.

Love, Bev, RJ and Eric

Always following through with any tasks... always positive, I will miss this interaction terribly. You are in my prayers. God bless you. To his family, my sincere condolences. I am so sorry for your loss.

I will always remember Jay for his wonderful personality. My late husband, Jim, and I were always amazed by his respectfulness and ambition. It does not surprise me that Jay touched everyone that he came in contact with. My heart aches for Ron, Judy, Heather and the rest of his family. The world has lost a very special person, but heaven has gained a very special angel.

I worked with Jay off and on for almost six years. I remember when he got Vibrant and when the dog peed all over his new house :) I loved how loopy-cheerful he always was. A lot of times, he even seemed upbeat when he was down. He was ambitious and responsible and fun and competent and caring. He'll be missed here.

I'm still shocked to hear the news... Jay was always a kind and generous person in the electronic music scene and will be sorely missed. Having worked with him and his record label, Jay remained a positive figure supporting his passion for music and unleashing it for the world to hear, one release at a time, and with great ambition. I will always remember Jay for his sincerity and kind nature --I will not forget you. Thanks for everything. You will be missed.

Not only did I have the opportunity to work with Jay for 5 years but I was also privileged enough to be his friend. Jay was one of the most sincere, hard working people I know. He had drive like no other. There is an emptiness knowing that I won't see him again. His life was cut too short but he made a significant impact on those around him.

As a coworker of Jay, I didn't know him very well since his work hours varied with lots of late nights at Linux Networx. My hope and prayer is that his family and friends would have already recognized the hope found in true faith Jesus Christ alone as defined solely in the Bible. I send my deepest regards to his wife and son. Wishing you God's blessing and His sustaining hand through this loss!
