"Beloved Mother"
Salt Lake City, UT-June M. Matern, age 86, passed away September 2, 2014 in Murray, UT at Intermountain Medical Center. Born June 15, 1928 in Salt Lake City, UT to Allen and Annie Foster Mangum. Married Otto Matern May 22, 1947. Together they had three children, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mom was such a talented lady with crocheting. She loved all children. She adored her family. Mom and Dad shared 64 years together before he passed in 2011. Hers is a legacy of love. She will be deeply missed.
Survived by her children, Patricia (Tiny) Lowe, Penny (Jon) Haxton and Steven (Brenda) Matern; grandchildren, Carla (Jay), Stacy (Chris), Chad (Kristie), Chad and Brendan; brother, Duane Remy, sister in law, Sue Matern and life-long neighbor and friend, Jerry Chidester.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan with a viewing one hour prior. Interment to follow.
