Kyle Cummings Obituary

Heber City
1924 ~ 2012
Kyle E Cummings, age 88, a good man from the greatest generation, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012. He was born February 10, 1924 to Henry Clay Cummings and Emma Ruby Nielson. Kyle grew up in Heber City and graduated from Wasatch High School. During WWII he proudly served in the Army Air Corp and flew the B-25 as a pilot and instructor pilot.
On August 22, 1947, he married Maretta Carlile. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed square dancing, camping, spending time with family and attending plays and performances at Brigham Young University.
As a young man Kyle worked with his brothers and family herding sheep and cattle. Kyle was a sales manager and corporate pilot for Spudnut Corporation, earning numerous awards for his excellent performance. He also enjoyed working, 17 years, for Brigham Young University as a contract supervisor and construction inspector.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kyle's greatest joy came from being with his family. He also loved being in the mountains, camping, hunting, fishing and photography. In his later years he found great joy learning to play the guitar and lapidary work.
Kyle will be remembered by his family, friends, and acquaintances as an honest, strong, and hard working man with an unfailing optimistic attitude in life.
Daddy will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother, mentor, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maretta Carlile; parents, Henry Clay and Emma Ruby Cummings; sister, Yvonne Miller; brothers, Veigh and Melvin Cummings.
He is survived by his children; Sharrel (Dorothy) Cummings; Kylene Hilton; Cherie (Rick) Green, LeeAnn (Mark) Parrish; 15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Heber 5th Ward Chapel, 150 North 200 West, Heber Utah. Friends may call at the church Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 and on Thursday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Heber City Cemetery, 700 N. 550 E., Heber, Utah.
