Marjorie Rayl Obituary
Marjorie Louise Barnett Rayl, age 90, passed away peacefully June 9, 2017 in Sandy, Utah. Marjorie was born to Winnifred and Elmer Barnett and grew up in Garden City, Michigan. She graduated from Fordson High School and received an associate degree from Schoolcraft Community College.
Marjorie married Clifford Rayl in 1946 and last November they celebrated 70 years together. Clifford passed away March 2, 2017. Marj struggled to overcome his loss and we are sure they are happily together again. Marjorie worked as a secretary for the Garden City Board of Education and moved to Fisher Body from where she retired. One of her hobbies was crocheting and she enjoyed gifting to family and friends. In 2003 Marj and Cliff moved to Sandy, Utah to be closer to their grandchildren.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Laurie Rayl Bengoechea, son-in-law Adam Bengoechea, grandchildren Maiah and Mitchell Ray Bengoechea and brother Thomas Barnett.
Our family would like to thank the caregivers at Millcreek Home Health and Hospice and Sunrise Senior Living for their wonderful care and assistance.
A celebration of Marj and Cliff's lives will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at John N. Santeiu and Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Road, Garden City, Michigan 48135. Visiting begins at 11am, service at noon. Lunch will follow at a local restaurant. Interment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West has taken place. (Garden of Devotion, #183, Site 1 & 2) Online condolences can be made at www.larkincares.com and www.santeiufuneralhome.com.
