Nickolas Trent Thayne was born January 14, 1994 and died in an auto accident on December 14, 2017 in American Fork Canyon at the age of 23. Nick was born to Trent David Thayne and Christine Smith-Thayne in Salt lake City, Utah.
Nick was a very loving, caring, and genuine young man that we're all very proud to have known and had the opportunity to be a part of our lives. He was the best husband, father, and son anyone could ask for. He taught so many people so many things and would help anybody in need just to make life easier for them. He was very creative, artistic, and extremely ambitious with his creations whether it be cars or relationships. He brought happiness to everybody that he was around with his infectious smile and playful face. He gave everybody respect and genuinely liked everybody and wanted the best for them. We will miss him greatly more than anybody will ever know. Among the car enthusiasts and groups that he was a part of he was a legend of his time. And if you've ever been "nicked" you know what we mean. Goodbye Son, Husband, Father, and Friend. We will see you again and we know you will always be with us and we will always have you in our thoughts.
Nick is survived by his wife Serina Thayne and his daughter, the love of his life, Mercedes Wendolyn Thayne age two. His Father Trent Thayne (and Cassidy Grady) and mother Christine Smith. Also survived by Judy Smith, grandmother, Spanish Fork, Dennis and Karla Thayne, grandparents, Pleasant Grove, Karl Richins, honorary grandpa, Pleasant Grove. Uncles and Aunts Todd and Leah Thayne, Troy and Susan Thayne, Gary and Wendy Smith, Brenda and Robert Weyerman, Wendy Smith. Best Friends for life, Hunter Free and Wesley Levin. Step-siblings, Sierra Smith, Paige Scott, Morgan Scott, and Gunnar Scott.
Funeral Services will be held at the Manila 3rd Ward Chapel, 3396 North 900 West Pleasant Grove, Utah, on December 21, 2017 at 11:00 am with a viewing from at 9:00 to 10:30 am. Lunch will be served immediately after the service and there will be a graveside service at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.warenski.com
