Pamela Burnett Obituary

Pamela Kim Burnett

1959 - 2023

Littlefield, AZ-Pamela Kim Burnett, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away on May 18, 2023, in the presence of her loving family. Born on March 3, 1959, Pamela lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Pam was a devoted mother to her three sons, Dustin, Tyson, and Courtney Wegner, whom she loved unconditionally. She nurtured them with warmth and care, instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and love for the natural world. Pam was also blessed with three daughters in law, Lori Durfee, Andrea Hawkins, and Venessa Nielsen who love and embrace Pam as their own "mom". Pam is also survived by her first husband Darren Wegner and her second husband George Burnett. Pam and Darren were amazing friends and had many beautiful years together as they raised not only three boys but also neighbor kids and cousins. Their door was always open to friends and family. Later in life Pam married George who remained by her side until the end.

Born to Kenneth and Velva Bentley, Pam was the cherished daughter who brought light and laughter into their lives. While her father, Kenneth, has since passed away, her mother, Velva, continues to embrace life with a resilience that reflects Pam's own spirit. Pam was preceded in death by her brothers Alan Bentley and Kip Bentley, leaving behind cherished memories that her family holds dear. Her surviving brothers, Ronnie, Lonnie, and Gary Bentley, as well as her sisters, Deb Stratton and Lynette Christensen, find solace in the love and connection they shared with Pam throughout their lives.

Family was everything to Pam, and she embraced her role as a doting grandmother with unparalleled joy. Trey Hawkins, Koen Wegner, Makena Wegner, Aleya Wegner, and Aiden Wegner brought immense happiness into her life, and she delighted in witnessing their growth and accomplishments. Pam's love for them knew no bounds, and her memory will forever live on in their hearts.

Pam was captivated by the mountains, finding solace and peace in their majestic presence. She reveled in the beauty of nature, spending countless hours fishing and camping outdoors and appreciating the wonders of the natural world. Her deep love for animals and nature was part of her beauty and elegance. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Pam's name to the Humane Society, continuing her legacy of compassion and care.

Pam's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of her family and friends. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, let us remember her through these words:

When I die and go to heaven (hopefully),

We'll be there together, reunited tearfully.

Endless hours of laughter,

Beauty all around.

Sunshine on the mountains,

Summer rain upon the ground.

A forest breeze is blowing,

Alan's lake glistens in the sun.

We'll share a toast together,

As the moments linger on.

Free from pain and sadness,

Laughing evermore.

Admiring Gods canvas,

And fishing every reservoir.

Where the grass is green,

That's where we'll be.

Living together and being free.

Pamela Kim Burnett, your light will forever shine in our hearts. May you find eternal peace in the embrace of the mountains you adored so deeply.

A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be announced soon.

So many memories of you Pam. Camping, fishing and all the sleep overs we had growing up. Just hanging out and having fun. I was really touched not to long ago when we were chatting and you asked me to move down by you. I was at Flaming Gorge when I found out of your passing, I know how much you loved it at the Gorge. You will always be loved and missed. Love you!
Condolences to all the family...

Aunt Pam, You will be missed. Although I did not get to see you as much as I wish I could have. You will always be my Aunt Pam regardless. Rest in Peace.
