TYLER OVERTON Obituary

Tyler Dell Overton 1975 ~ 2010 Our wonderful son, brother, father and friend passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 21, 2010.Tyler was born Jan. 4, 1975 in Provo, Utah to Glen and Kim Overton. He attended Provo schools and graduated from Timpview High School. Tyler was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an Eagle Scout. He touched the lives of many people with his humor, laughter, and tender heart. He was truly a friend to everyone. He loved music - playing and composing. He also loved doing anything outdoors. But more than anything he loved his little daughter, Skye. Tyler knew the value of friendship and helping others. People always knew where they stood with Tyler. He would defend his family and friends, sometimes to a fault. Those who really knew Tyler, knew they had a friend for life. He is survived by his parents, his daughter, Skye, five brothers, Chris (Jenny), Todd (Tanya), Ryan (Megan), Jared (Kristen), Jordan (Jennifer), two sisters Jennifer (Cris Cannon), Amy (John Wadsworth) and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillside Chapel, 1900 No. 1500 East, Provo. Viewing that morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery. "Tyler, we will miss you more than words can express. We love you and look forward to being together again." -Your Family Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.walkerfamilymortuary.com

Glen and Kim,
I was so sorry to learn of your loss. I can relate to so much of what you are going through. You are going to hear a lot of words of comfort; however, the comfort that will be most healing will come from our Father in Heaven. He will give you strength when you think you cannot take another step. He will put people in your lives that will help you sustain your faith and your hope. Please know so many are praying for you and your family.

Tyler was usually the first of the nephews to greet me with a vigorous hug and "Hello Auntie, how are you?" when I arrived for family events. His sparkling blue eyes and charisma were charming. I will always remember fondly our visits, and his great attitude about helping others. What a happy young man. And such love for his little Skye was always touching to see. Mark will miss dropping by to have a few minutes of guitar jamming with him, too.
Grandpa Dell is enjoying the reunion with you, am sure!

God Bless You, Tyler, and All the Family.

Dearest Cousin Glen and Kim, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I think I met Tyler--perhaps with another of your children--when we met at the Hotel Balderdash kids tv show. There was no time to talk; the show had to go on and I think you had to get someplace, Glen. So even with little grown-up contact, I sure have some distinct memories of you, Glen. Bless you all, Yolanda
