Alexa Montez Obituary
Alexa Denice Montez, born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Carlos Montez, Jr. and Nichol Leila Olsen on October 8, 2002, died on January 10, 2019 at the age of 16, along with her sister, London Sophia Bribiescas and mother, Nichol Leila Olsen. Alexa was a Sophomore at Clark High School, class of 2021. She enjoyed being a cheerleader, loved animals, serving at church, and her favorite color was aqua.
She dreamed of traveling and one day visiting the island of her birth. Alexa planned on applying to Texas A & M University after high school with hopes of becoming an obstetrician so she could care for women and deliver babies. She loved jogging along the river, family vacations, and spending time on the beach. She volunteered in the nursery at church and had a loving heart for babies and toddlers.
She was looking forward to hospital clinicals provided by her Health Careers Class. She will be remembered by all for having a Servant's Heart, a sweet personality, her generosity, her beauty, funny wit, and her inner strength.
Alexa is survived by father, Carlos Montez, Jr. and wife Kytheranialynn Rekay Montez; Paternal grandparents: Carlos Montez Sr., Erma Saucedo Montez, Curtis Brown, and Kytherania A. Fambrough-Brown; great-grandparents: Pete and Rebecca Saucedo, Elmira Brown, and Ruth A. Olsen; her brother, Skylar Anthony Nobles; Aunts, Vanessa Ann Montez, Alexandria L. Montez, and Stephanie Olveda; Uncles: Nicholas Noel Montez, Justin Ryan Olsen, and Rick Allen Olsen (LaRhonda Lowe); and cousins: Abraham Cabrera II, Sophia Venez Cabrera, Ethaniel Luke Cabrera, Amora Noelle Montez, Brooklyn Olsen, and Santiago Olsen.
SERVICES
Visitation for Alexa, her Mother, Nichol and Sister, London will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels Stone Oak.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at A Place for Life Church, 5820 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas 78230.
Interment will be held privately.
Pallbearers: Isaiah James Elizondo, Braden Taylor Malone, Roman Sandoval, Abraham Cabrera, II, Zachariah Lee Vara, and Phil Rene Pacheco, Jr.

Alexa was always friendly. She was beautiful and she was a pleasure to be around. When we would go visit and she was a lot younger she would say take another picture. She will never be forgotten. We grieve with the Montez family and all that love and miss her.
