Ana Perez Obituary
May 20, 1951 - February 2, 2025
Dr. Ana Yolanda Perez, 73, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on February 2, 2025, after a brief illness. Yolanda was born on May 20, 1951, in Falfurrias, Texas, to Gustavo and Dolores Perez. Yolanda was predeceased in death by her father (Gustavo), mother (Dolores), and brother (Gustavo (Gus) Jr.). She is survived by her brother, Robert (wife Elaine), two nieces, Marissa Atchison and Ana-Alicia Lewicki, and four grand nephews.
After Yolanda graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in 1969, she went on to major in biology at Baylor University (graduating in 1973) and medicine at University of Chicago Medical School, where she received her medical degree in 1979. After completing her residency at Scott and White (Waco, Texas), she set up her Internal Medicine practice in San Antonio, Texas in 1980. She continued to practice medicine in San Antonio until 2022 when she retired from her medical practice.
We want to recognize and thank the medical staff at North Central Baptist Hospital and Kindred Hospital in San Antonio, Texas for providing loving and compassionate care to Yolanda. A memorial mass will be held on March 14th, 10 AM, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas (20523 Huebner Road). Her ashes will be interred later, in Concepcion, Texas.

I met Dr.Perez (Ana) as my Dr,but we quickly became friends,we updated each other about our families and tried to stay in touch.I was saddened to hear of her passing.
She was a very kind ,compassionate lady.Sge will be dearly missed.My condolences and prayers go out to her family at this time

I met Yolanda when I was a freshman at Baylor in 1971. My roommate was Elva Montoya, who was a friend of Yolanda. They were both juniors and planning to be doctors. Yolanda was a sweet girl, and we spent a lot of time together then.
