Bernice Casey Obituary

CASEY
Bernice Casey, age 76, was born March 4th, 1934 in Refugio, Texas to John Franklin Davidson and Lucy Norean Nichols. On February 11th, 2011 after attempting to put out a small candle fire, the unknown became more than she could handle and the Lord was there to take her home peacefully along with the two little dogs by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Jonilou Norean Casey, son; Ronny Franklin Casey, niece, Evelyn Martin and brother in law Cecil B. Jordan. Her cherished memories will live on through her surviving family, daughter, Lisa Casey Atwell and husband Lee Atwell; grandson, Andrew Lee Casey of San Antonio, Texas; sisters: Mary Jordan of Floresville, Texas, Marjorie and Edward Harwell(brother in law) of San Antonio, Texas, and countless dear friends and extended family members will never forget how her cheerful smile, lovely spirit and caring for other will forever change us all. Bernice was a mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend that each of us will have a memory to reflect on. Her strength, love and faith in Christ are what she instilled in her children and the most pride and joy of her life. Remember Bernice is now at peace and suffering no more. Pallbearers will be: Honorary Pallbearer, Andrew Casey (grandson), Jeff Hanselka, Joe Robledo, Craig Healey, Frank Stephenson, Jordan Stephenson, Daniel Martin, Clint Kingsbery, and Lee Atwell. With a sad heart, my deepest condolences. Hope all is well with you, Lisa, and your family. Lee, Bernice and I shared many great memories when we were in the Navy and later working for Bechtol. I lost track of them but they were always on my mind. Rubin Ruiz, 9039 Autumn Wood, Spring Branch, TX.

Keep her memory in your heart and remember the time you spent with her and the things she enjoy doing when yall were together and think of the pets being with her for always. Mrs. Casey and the dogs will look out for one another. The dogs were with her more than anybody and they are still with her. Lisa and Andrew take care of one another and always communicate with one another.

Andrew,
I'm so grieved over this. I know that your grandmother was the cornerstone of your family and things will never be the same. I just don't have adequate words to express my sorrow for you. This will have to do.

Lisa and Andrew, we are just at a loss for this tragic accident. I spoke with Grandma Casey on several occasions, last time was about two weeks. Know that she loved both of you dearly. I will miss a dear friend whom I enjoyed the evening telephone talks. She is at peace with her Lord and Savior. I will continue to keep you in my daily thoughts and prayers
