Dawn Smith Obituary
Dawn Lea Smith of Converse, TX passed away on April 24, 2013 after a long battle with Breast Cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, David Nelson Smith and her son Dwight Kerr. Dawn was born in Quincy, Illinois on February 17, 1972. Her parents Jimmie Matlick and Wanda Gravitt preceded her in death. She is further survived by her brother Wesley Cottrell and Debra Brickman. A memorial service will be held Monday April 29 at 2:30 at Wesley Harper United Methodist church located at 754 West Court Street Sequin, Texas 78155. Flowers can be sent to Crenshaw Funeral Home, 216 Blumberg Street Sequin, Texas 78155. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wesley-Harper UMC.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Dawn's passing. She was a wonderful person, friend and police dispatcher who faithfully served the citizens of San Antonio. My sympathies go out to her family.
