Katherine Andersen Obituary

Katherine C. Andersen went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 26, 2007. She was born in Lake Charles, LA June 1, 1921. Kay was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy (Andy) Andersen and her parents, Jack L. and Katherine E. Morris. Kay is survived by her sons and their families; her son, Jack T. Andersen and his wife, Mary B. Andersen, and Kay's beloved grandsons, Jack David Andersen and Michael Roy Andersen, all of San Antonio, TX and her son, Roy K. (Kip) Andersen of San Antonio and his daughter, Audra Kay Gremes and Kay's beloved great-granddaughters, Gabriella Katherine Gremes and Victoria Kourtney Gremes of Decatur, AR. Kay is also survived by her step-grandchildren and their families; Mathew C. Gunter of Syracuse, NY and Shauna A. Lang of Austin, TX. She is also survived by her cousin, John Heath Edeleman of Ashland, OR. Kay was very much loved and will be greatly missed by every member of her family and her many wonderful friends. Kay and her family had been active members of Trinity Baptist Church of San Antonio for over 50 years. Prior to her retirement, Kay was an accounting manager for Handy Andy Grocery Co. for over 17 years. Kay enjoyed playing bridge and played at least twice per week. She also took great pleasure in spending time with her son Jack and his family. She doted on her grandsons, Jack and Mike and her great-granddaughters, Gaby and Tori. She enjoyed "bumming" around, eating out and shopping with her son, Kip, granddaughter Audra and her friends. Kay and her family would appreciate donations in her loving memory to the San Antonio Baptist Children's Home, in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be conducted by the Reverend Ron Hill, Senior Pastor of Fellowship of San Antonio, in the Mausoleum 1 Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. The family appreciates your kind thoughts and prayers during this time.
