Patsy Zintgraff Obituary
July 29, 1926 - February 24, 2023
Patsy Ruth Zintgraff, age 96, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born July 29, 1926, in San Antonio to Herbert I. and Ruth Wilson Neal. She graduated from Brackenridge High School, worked at Brooke Army Medical Center, and at Jefferson High School. She married the youngest of ten children, and was loved by her extended family, as she loved and cared for them. Among her interests were music, gardening, and traveling with her husband, family and friends. She played piano and was in her church's handbell choir. She was involved in her son's schools and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a lifelong member of Manor Baptist Church and later its mission, Woodland Baptist Church. Whatever her family was doing, from quilting to technology to the telescope on her son's porch, she wanted to know and understand the world around her. Her nature was sweet, curious, quirky, and tenacious; was happiest with family, friends, and especially her great-grandkids; and when necessary, no one to fool with! We'll remember her sweet smile, the amazing way she cared for her husband during his last years, the love and care she showed to us, and for the many good times we shared. She was preceded in death by husband of 52 years Alfred C. Zintgraff. Patsy is survived by son Alfred C. (Cliff) Zintgraff, Jr. and wife Debra Denise Zintgraff; grandchildren Jessica Zintgraff Garcia, Stacey Anne Kealoha Zintgraff and Matthew Christopher Maluhia Zintgraff; Jessica's husband Marcus Eli Garcia; and their children, her great-grandchildren, Oliver Eli Garcia, Sutton Claire Garcia, and Ella Ruth Garcia. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Porter Loring Mortuary.

Hello, my name is Cecelia Tapia. My colleague Natalie Torres - Sanchez serviced Pat's hair for a few years. Then Natalie went through a battle against breast cancer and was unable to continue to style and service Pat's weekly hair appointment. So Natalie asked me. So I also began to see Pat, every Thursday @ 1 p.m.
That was her standing appointment time. She so looked forward to getting out and being around people. She was always a delight and so feisty. She had a beautiful head of snow white hair, and so much of it.Both Natalie and myself will miss seeing her once a week, but also celebrate her exceptional long existence here on earth. We both believe Pat has been received into God's shining embrace.

I met Pat Zintgraff a few times and she was always a smiling and caring woman to everyone around her. I felt very blessed to meet her and visited her church as well
