Wayne Moehring Obituary
Wayne Bernard Moehring, born on August 5, 1954, passed away on July 30, 2012, at the age of 57. It always seems that in life, it's people who are the kindest and most generous, the most loving and the most loveable that leave us before their time. I would imagine that it is difficult when anyone loses a friend, worse when a brother or a son. But words cannot describe the loss felt by a young woman, just beginning adulthood and what is felt when she loses her father. Wayne B. Moehring was beloved by everyone he was in contact with. He had a wonderful spirit, a huge heart, and an amazing sense of humor. There simply are not enough positive words to describe him, or his impact he had on those around him. Wayne had a personality and a character even larger than he was. To say that he will be missed would be understating his impact on our lives. Wayne will not only be missed, he will be fondly remembered. Remembered as a wonderful friend, a son that any mother would be honored to have, a brother that was loyal and dependable, and a father that no man's life or character could ever match. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Hilmer & Hilda Larrame Moehring. Survivors include his daughter, Lauren Moon Moehring; brothers, Ray Moehring and his wife, Nancy, and Randy Moehring and his wife, Shirley; sister Lorraine Gillmore; and best friend Vivian Johnson. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 5, 2012, from 1:00PM until 5:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. Another gathering will take place on Sunday, August 5, 2012, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM, with a Celebration of Wayne's Life at 6:30PM, at the Tejas Rodeo Company, 401 Obst Road, Bulverde, Texas, 78163. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012, at 10:00AM, at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, 1200 Jackson Street in Castroville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Wayne Moehring Memorial Fund ("Big Wayne") at the Blanco National Bank, 20475 Hwy 46 West, Suite 360, Spring Branch, Texas 78070, ATTN: Kim Boren.

I saw Wayne just about a month ago. He told me some silly stories...always a good laugh and made me smile! A man with the Biggest Heart in Texas. You will be missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

Big Wayne always had a huge smile when you saw, was joy to be around. He always had a joke, a funny story for you. He never met a stranger. He was always willing to help anybody. He's in heaven helping St. Peter greet those that come thru the pearly gates. Big Wayne you will be missed by many. RIP BIG WAYNE

Big Wayne had a big heart and will be missed by all of his friends in the rodeo world. (Tejas and San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo). The Palomino Patrol has lost a friend and supporter. My sympathy to Vivian and his family.

Wayne will be missed by all of his rodeo friends near and far. San Antonio, Tejas, Las Vegas, where ever there are rodeos, he has been there and made friends at all of them. God Speed, Wayne and God Bless his family as well as his Rodeo Family.
