Anthony Forchette Obituary

Anthony A. Forchette, 6/13/1936 – 2/25/2023, born in Yonkers New York to Alfred and Amelia Forchette, youngest of seven siblings, preceded in death by his wife Heidi Forchette, and Margaret Nelson, survived by his oldest sister Grace O'Gorman and nearest sister, Mary Ann Passanante, Son Nick Forchette, Daughter Lora Forchette-Brown, Granddaughters; Amber Forchette, Kiersten Forchette, and Rhiannon Brown, great-grandchild Miya Marcy. Tony's childhood was filled with motivation to work hard and live well, which he chose to do every day of his life. His family moved to San Diego where he attended Grossmont High School, served in the U.S. Army as a Medic in Korea, attended San Diego City College earning his Degree and served as President of his fraternity Alpha Delta, while also driving an ambulance for Paris Mortuary. Tony passed the exams to obtain his general building contractor's license in 1964, then participated in the creation of an industry of Contractor License Schools and enjoyed a successful career. Tony gave back to his country, the construction industry and to his community throughout his life, including spending many hours at California Contractor's Board meetings, Member of the El Cajon Valley Host Lions where he served as President 1981 – 1982, Melvin Jones Fellow with Lions Clubs International Foundation, and a member of El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812. Military interment held April 28th 1:30PM at Miramar National Cemetery, Memorial Service held April 29th 1:30PM at the El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812, 1400 E. Washington, El Cajon, CA.
